I loved the repetition of the word "boring" in para 1. This blurb is a win for me. I'd be very curious to learn more. My only quibble is the Greek gods and goddess sort of come from outta nowhere and aren't tightly linked to the "world" but are listed as an additional challenge. I assume they somehow come with the globe so maybe one more sentence to intro how they come into the picture. Very minor stuff though cause I'd still flip it open to read more.

Nicely done. Conflict, a neat hook, and those pesky Greek gods all wrapped up together. I'm beginning to get a little sick of the Olympians, but I'd read this.

Again, anything to do with Greek mythology always catches my eye. I wonder who this Amy Gold is, a bored Goddess of Love perhaps? :)

The last line makes me wonder why he wants to find her. What does he hope to gain? Also, is she a supernatural being? It' s not quite clear.

An editor might balk at the overuse of boring, but then again, it might just tickle their fancy!
