I’m English. Mostly on account of being born in England. Gloucester to be precise, but that’s only because the midwife in my parent’s home-town at the time was just clocking off her shift when my parents walked through the door.

I don’t live in England any more. I don’t live in Scotland either, although I did for a while. No, himself (also known as ‘hubby’) and I and our four (at the time) cats made the trip West to seek our fortunes in the Promised Land (sometimes known as Ohio). Yes, we do plan to stick around for a while.

I work for a tech company in lovely Cleveland, Ohio. I’m obliged to say that the ideas and opinions reflected here and on any of my online or offline interactions do not reflect the ideas or opinions of my employer. This is true.

Cats currently number five, although two of them are American-born. I prefer cats to children. They’re easier to pick up, they eat less, and they don’t answer back. Well, they do answer back, but it’s in cat, so I can’t tell when they’re swearing at me.

I am at peace with my inner geek.

My hobbies are many and various; I read (a lot), I write, albeit poorly, I take photographs some of which are good, and I have a whole room full of art and craft supplies. I also like starting blogs and web pages. Currently I have three blogs and a photography website. Only one of these gets updated. I redesign the sites more often than I update my blogs.

I’m funny. In real life, at least. Reading this you might not notice it.
